Hey all, it’s me again!

I’d like to talk about things I strive to do this year in my art career as well as the conventions I plan on attending!

I’m (hopefully) going to be at MCM May this year in the artist alley and I have put in a table request to be at TFNation! (Whoop Whoop! Transformers!) If your reading this there is a significant chance you know me via something Transformers-y, but for those who may not, TFNation is the UK’s dedicated Transformers convention (and the largest in Europe!) and from what I’ve heard its absolutely brilliant!

Every year, we run a Transformers charity fan-comic (Thunder Clash Goes Banana’s / Tales from the multiverse) for Toy-Tu to help raise money for Mary’s Meals, in 2024 we raised just about £2000, and I got to work alongside some of the most incredible people – and, I have my name on an actual book! Currently, we’re all busy working on 2025’s comic, we’ve got some really nice work this year, y’all are not ready for this one!

I’m also planning to attend Thought-bubble as just for fun as 2000AD are always there and I’d like to get my portfolio reviewed, plus they are require you to be there for their annual competition at the con and I’m actual going to try for it this year, it’s always something I’ve been aware of (I love Judge Dread!) but I’ve never participated because I wasn’t confident I was “good” enough to even try.

The ultimate dream would be to able to attend the big US cons! (NYCC, SDCC, Wondercon, ECCC, C2E2) It would have to be a con I can submit samples to publishers / editors to make it worthwhile, and I’d only ever go if I had a table due to the cost I think it would take to get there, but I’m not at all at that point yet realistically, and I also heard some of those cons are notoriously hard to get tickets for!

Some other things I’d like to achieve in 2025,

  • A consistent streaming schedule for art, Twitch or Whatnot!

  • I would love to have some sort of platform (podcast / channel) to help advertise / promote indie comics/ aspiring artists / small projects. Also so I can talk about my love for comics with like-minded people, and interview my favourite creators. Especially as I am writing my own creator-owned comic and am unsure on a publishing route, if I ever decided to Kickstart, having a pre-established audience would be extremely helpful.

  • Break into the comics industry! (and to have a day-job in a some sort of creative field)

  • To table at as many conventions as I financially can!

  • I recently built a custom PC for the very first time! (I wish I could do it all over again, I really did love the process of picking out parts and assembling essentially adult Lego) I splashed out at grand (and 99p exactly) specifically so I had a rig I could learn to 3D model with, but I can’t remember the last time I opened Blender. (Also, Houdini, Unreal, Unity and Substance Painter) so I strive to actually start learning it in my free time!

Welllllllll....they're more like "would be neat if I actually got round to doing this" goals.
